I+E were one of only three UK practices invited to present a Case Study for an Education Seminar hosted by the RIBA in Portland Place, London. The seminar featured three distinctly different education projects and examined the selection and use of materials within the design of teaching and learning environments. Alongside I+E’s Castle Tower School, other projects featured were:
Marlborough Primary School by Dixon Jones Architects. A dramatic 5–Storey primary school in the Chelsea borough of London. The Developers fitted out a nearby warehouse out as a decant school facility during the two–year new build.
Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre by Niall McLaughlin Architects. A £5,000/sqm teaching pavilion in the beautiful landscaped setting of Oxford University’s Worchester College. The project was Shortlisted for this year’s Stirling Prize.
